【 工作坊簡介 About the Workshop 】
Drawing is a way of seeing that unfolds over time. When we take the time to draw and observe carefully, we start to notice the small details—and through that, we begin to see the connections between ourselves and the things around us. This process also helps us reflect on who we are and how we’re shaped by the world.
In this workshop, we invite you to bring a small personal item—something you’ve kept, collected, or that simply holds meaning for you. With guidance, you’ll sketch your object and turn it into a page in an illustrated catalogue. At the end, everyone’s drawings will be brought together and organized into a collective book—a one-of-a-kind collection that reflects many different stories and perspectives.
NCCU Arts and Culture Center welcomes you to join us on this creative journey of looking closely and seeing differently. Through drawing, we’ll revisit the stories that time has preserved. Objects will lead us through different time periods, personal memories, and hidden meanings—each with its own layer of story to tell.
Objects carry a quiet kind of magic. They connect us to the world, and to one another. They also tell us something about ourselves—our past, our choices, and the things we value. When we stop to really look at these objects, they seem to speak in their own way, revealing stories we may not have noticed before. They open the door to new ways of seeing and understanding our relationship with the things we live with.
※ At the end of the workshop, you'll take home your own drawing. Later, you'll also receive a printed booklet that gathers everyone's work together—a shared catalogue of objects filled with memories, stories, and creativity.
