《 Doll HoUse 》

曾在新聞上看見日本研發擬真機器人的測試發表。在視頻裡看見細微表情,如眨眼、點頭與搖頭、張嘴等等細微動作都幾近逼真程度,甚至已在機場執行簡單對話與指令的擬真機器人。儘管電影中不乏這樣的高科技故事與人物,但在真實世界中實際看見這個實體,讓我感到非常震驚。除了震驚科技的突飛猛進,更震驚於自己有生之年居然就已經可以看見這樣的發展可能實際發生。

進而去觀察充氣娃娃、矽膠娃娃的生產過程,發現人類對於「擬真」的程度日益加劇。在矽膠娃娃生產全球、需求者絡繹不絕且強烈追求矽膠娃娃的逼真,如毛髮、皮膚、關節與性器特徵及觸感都要逼進真人的程度下,「矽膠娃娃擬人機器化」的方向愈發明確且需要被生產製造。人類的需求量大增同時顯示了新的人際關係定義,即孤獨與陪伴的需要不再只有「人類」的選擇,而是可以選擇一個「擬真」的對象一起生活。在新聞中已見許多人選擇擬真娃娃作為人生伴侶,不需要擔心另一半的情緒與情感或思想問題、與之一同吃喝拉撒睡、從事性行為,甚至四處遊玩或參與人生的拍照記錄。儼然與真人無異的新型態生活模式其實早已快要變成稀鬆平常的現象。

而究竟我們要追求「擬真」到什麼程度才會覺得滿意?在與一具不會動的擬真矽膠娃娃,就能達到的夢幻生活模式,還是會有不滿足?是否會進一步希望它能夠與自己對談、與自己分享天氣冷熱與食物品嚐?是否能夠真的與自己一起入睡做夢?是否能夠有某種程度的思考與互動?是否希望能夠與之享有真實的情感交流?或更多?更多?更多?

About Doll HoUse

I recently saw a news report on testing of human-like robots developed in Japan. In the video, we see subtle expressions, such as winking, nodding and shaking of the head, movement of the mouth and other subtle movements that seem quite real, even to the point that these androids are already being used to provide simple directions and instructions at the airport. Even though there have been some high-tech stories and characters in films, it's jarring to actually see these entities in the real world. Aside from the leaps and bounds that this shocking technology is making, what is even more disturbing is that we are actually seeing such developments occur within our lifetime.

Deeping our observation of the manufacturing process of inflatable and silicone dolls, we discover that humanity’s level of virtual reality is developing at breakneck speed. In the production of silicone dolls around the world, the market has seen strong demand for a high level of realism in features such as body hair, skin, joints and genitalia as well as feel to the touch. The more human-like robot development advances, the more there is demand for their production. This growing human desire has also revealed a new definition of human relationships, and companionship options for the lonely are no longer limited to other humans. They can also choose a virtual partner with which to live. In news reports, we have seen many people choosing androids as their life partners, where they do not have to worry about their partner’s emotions or feelings or what they might be thinking. They go about all facets of their lives with their virtual partners, engage in sexual activity and even go on trips or participate in filming and recording of their lives. Moreover, this new type of life does not differ much from that of real humans and is actually fast becoming a common phenomenon.

Ultimately, at what point will we be satisfied in our pursuit of virtuality? Is it possible to be with an immobile silicone doll and reach the dream life but still not be satisfied? Is it possible that one would further wish that such a doll could engage in conversation and to share in days hot and cold or in tasting food? Or that it could go to sleep and dream with you. Or that it could have a certain capacity for thought and interaction? Or that one could enjoy real romantic feelings? Or more? More? More?

2013年,女‧人。

關於女人,與“生”俱來的能力與責任,有陣痛的預告與分娩來完成新生命的延續。從女人的自身身份出發,試圖從充滿疼痛的感知來創作。賦予新生命如同創造新作品;我們分娩出一個個作品,愛它們如同新生兒般冀盼。

2013年,在睡不著的時候冒出的一個念頭。正式成立於2014年,團長為-賴玟君,藝術總監為-林唐聿。劇團成員大部分都為女人、女孩,以陰性書寫創作為力量。娩娩工作室創作的原動力,來自於社會事實,在探討心理上所造成的不可逆傷痛,企圖喚醒更多觀眾反思與關注,日日在世界上發生卻隱沒於人們的無動於衷造成的二次傷害。

娩娩致力於女性的創作,觸碰議題多從女性主題出發。從女性的感知到身體到心靈層面尋找創作靈感與題材,揭開與挖掘「女」身上的所有枝微末節,企圖理解、解析、混淆「女」「性」與生俱來的陰性力量,體現「女」「性」細胞中蘊藏的歇斯底里與理性感性同時兼具的瘋狂特質及其行為。

The reproductive abilities and responsibilities of women, the announcement of contractions and delivery complete the continuation of new life. Starting from women’s very identity, this work attempts to engage in creation through pain-filled perception. To give new life is like creating new works; we give birth to works, and love them with hopeful expectations like a newborn.

In 2013, the idea suddenly came to me one night when I couldn’t sleep. The MyanMyanstudio was formally established in 2014, with Pallas Lai as the theater group’s leader and Lin Tang-Yu as the artistic director. The members of the group were primarily women and girls and literary works by women was our power. The original inspiration for MyanMyanstudio’s creative works has come from actual events that happen in society. In exploring the literary psychological damage, we try to stimulate audience reflection and awareness of the secondary damage caused by these occurrences hidden by people's indifference every day in the world.

MyanMyanstudio is committed to women’s creative works, touching on issues more from women’s themes. We find inspiration and subject matter from women's perception of the spiritual level of their own bodies, opening up and extracting the minute details from the female body. The studio’s productions strive to understand and distinguish the mixture of woman and sex born from female power, conveying the hysteria as well as rational sensibility encapsulated in their very cells expressing disturbed quality and behavior.
