"Emptied Memories" is a crossover production that has recently gained great attention in Taiwan. It was first performed at the 2012 Digital Performing Arts Festival, and won the Best Interactive & New Media Design Award at the World Stage Design 2013.
Inspired by a poem, "Emptied Memories" combines panoramic photography with real-time image processing, sensors, and a wireless stage device. This work consists of an experiment exploring the relationship between memory, space, the body, and nothingness. During the three-year creative process, the artists roamed through countless spaces, accumulating an abundance of memories. In this talk, director Chou Tung-Yen and the creative team will show the documentary film "A Memory of Emptied Memories" to share scenes viewed along this artistic journey.
