為何要在舞台中間隔一道懸空的牆?端看觀眾願意用什麼角度去理解,看見的,與沒看見的;清楚的,與不清楚的,當身體有所限制的坐在觀眾席,要如何回應作品所給予的行為,一切的聽覺、視覺與空間等元素相互交乘,不斷放大的感官體驗,超乎尋常的狀態,彷彿昆蟲在黑暗中的趨光行為,漸漸趨近於作品的核心亮點。直到演出結束的最後一刻,作品又能在每個觀賞者心中擴散出如何的漣漪?

劇場在沒有鏡頭運動的狀況下,需要具備強烈的形式,才能讓觀眾進入被定義的世界,當空間設計與情感鋪陳互相連結,即形成一種狀態,一種理解台上的狀態,也是一種觸動觀眾思考的狀態。

Why is a suspended wall placed right in the middle of the stage? The answer to this question depends on the perspective of the viewer. The visible and invisible, the clear and unclear; when the body is restricted to the audience seat, how can the viewer respond to the mixture of elements including behavior, auditory senses, visual stimulations, and the arrangements of space? The continuous enlargement of the senses to the point of being far from the ordinary makes the person resemble the phototaxis behavior of an insect, leaning closer and closer to the core of the performance. What kind of ripples will the work leave behind in the hearts of viewers?

Without the working of camera lens, theater requires thoughtful arrangements for audiences to enter the narrative. The combination of space design and emotional buildup create a state which allows viewers to understand incidents on stage and encourages the thought process of the audience.

導演 | Director

台大地理、北藝大戲研所畢業。現為「莎士比亞的妹妹們的劇團」團長,創作一向具有複雜曲式與兼具實驗性/ 大眾化的特點,並透過表演形式的特殊設計,與演員共同挖掘、面對和思考劇場表演的可能性。曾任廣告和MV副導、表演指導及大型活動導演。

2009年受邀擔任高雄世運開幕第三段導演。
2014年受邀擔任第51屆金馬獎電影複/決審評審。
2014~2016年擔任傳藝金曲獎策展人與典禮導演。
六度入選台新藝術獎「 年度十大表演藝術 」。2013布袋戲《 聊齋 》、2012崑曲《 南柯夢 》、2008《 請聽我說 》、2001《 Zodiac 》,其中2009《 膚色的時光 》獲第八屆台新藝術獎首獎。2007《 殘, 。 》獲第六屆「 評審團特別獎 」。

Wang Chia-Ming graduated from the Department of Geography of National Taiwan University and the Graduate Institute of Theatre Arts and Playwriting of Taipei National University of the Arts and is now the head of Shakespeare’s Wild Sisters Group. Wang’s works have unique and complicated form, and is experimental and popular at the same time, exploring, facing, and contemplating the possibilities of theatre performance with actors through the distinctive theatre designs. In the past, Wang has worked as the deputy director of advertising and music videos, performance instructor, and director for large events.

2009 Invited to be the director for the third section of The World Games Kaohsiung.
2014 Invited to be the reviewer of the semi-finals and final competitions of the 51st Golden Horse Award.
2014-2016 Curator and ceremony director of the Golden Melody Awards for Traditional Arts and Music.

Wang Chia-Ming’s works were nominated among Top 10 at the Taishin Performing Arts Awards for six times, including Taiwan Glove Puppetry performance Inside Out: A Tale of Allure and Enchantment in 2013, Kun Opera Nanke Dream in 2012, Listen to Me, Please in 2008, and Zodiac in 2001. Once, upon Hearing the Skin Tone was awarded the first prize at the 8th Taishin Performing Arts Award while Tsen ,。 in 2007 was awarded the Special Jury’s Award at the 6th Taishin Arts Award.
Recent writing and directing works include:
Note Exchange Ⅱ-1984 (in collaboration with Dainanagekijo, Japan, 2017), Blood and Rose Ensemble (In collaboration with Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay, Singapore, 2017), Notes from the underground (in collaboration with Dainanagekijo, Japan, 2016), Voiceprint of Time (Hengshun Folksong and Music Theatre, 2016), What Color is the Cloud (Hakka Music Theatre, 2016), Serenade (playwrigh, 2016), Boundary (Taipei Chinese Orchestra and Ju Percussion Group, 2016), Seven Selves (Les Petites Choses Production, 2016), The Double Life of Princess Wencheng (Tang Mei Yun Taiwanese Opera Company, 2015), Richard III (2015 Taiwan International Festival of Arts), SMAP × SMAP (2013 Taipei Arts Festival).
