The work “Good Heart Man” is made of old Fubon uniforms, cut and re-sewn. The theme depicts a “sphere man” who, out of a strong love and care for Earth, carries the recycled clothing on his shoulders. The mirrors on his feet reflect a smiling face: the attitude that carries him through this important mission.

Artists Owen Chuang and Cloud Lu, who named their studio “biaugust,” were both born in August; their shared love of design is as fervent as the August sun. They insist on putting life and heart-stirring qualities into their works, experimenting with different forms of media to bridge the gap between humanity and design. Since its establishment, their workshop has received a number of local and international design awards. Their works have also been present in many exhibitions, both locally and internationally. Their repertoire ranges from fashion clothing, home decoration, and industrial and spatial design, to art specifically for the sake of art. The two artists embrace novelty and challenges, and create their own perspectives and philosophies.
